I have the honour to enclose a
letter dated 19th. October, 1910, from the Director of
Public Works forwarding an application from the Church
Missionary Society for the extension of Inland Lot No. 754
so as to enable them to erect a hostel in connection with the
University.
2.
The Society are prepared to accept
the terms offered subject to a further modification in the
bend of the road shown on the plan marked 'B' in which the
modification as originally proposed is indicated by blue
dotted lines and subject to the further condition that if at
any time called upon to do so, they will surrender to Govern-
-ment free of charge that portion of their lot which is
approximately shown cross-hatched red in the same plan. This
latter area, though trifling, would effect an improvement in
HE RIGHT HONOURABLE
